I feel lucky that I have so many things that I enjoy doing.  Photography is one of them.  When I get to mix that with another, then life gets even better.  That is exactly what is happening this weekend, as we are heading out to Gatsby’s to see the Olde Cellar Band.

I’ve been going to see these guys for about 5 years now,and cant say that I haven’t enjoyed myself.  Shooting at Gatsby’s is a challenge,as the lighting is there is not ideal, but that is what makes it fun.

So if you have nothing else to do, come out out, have some cold adult beverages, listen to some GREAT music, and say hi to the guy taking all the pictures.  That’ll be me.

Covered Bridge

This is the covered bridge at Camp Falling Rock, which is a Boy Scout camp just north of Newark, Ohio.

We found this while scouting out a location for a High School Senior photo shoot a couple years ago.  There were all sorts of things to use for a session there, and the day of the actual shoot was a lot of fun as well.

Marblehead Lighthouse

As we come back online from the moving of the site, I thought I would share a picture I took last weekend up on Lake Erie.  The story behind the trip is I told my wife Andrea back in early December that I would like to get up to Marblehead this winter to try and get a picture of the lighthouse in the snow.  She suggested that we go up for her birthday (Jan. 7th), which is a fairly safe bet that there would be snow then, and it would be a nice day to spend her birthday.

Wouldn’t you know it that the temps that day were close to 50 degrees, not a snowflake in site, but it was still nice just being there in one of our favorite spots.  As we were getting ready to leave, Andrea wanted to go over and get some pictures of the ice that was still on the rocks by the banks, so as I waited, I watched the sun try to peak out from behind the clouds. As it did, it left me with this shot.
